About Rudraksha
Rudraksha are the dried seeds of the Elaeocarpus ganitrus tree, found primarily in the Himalayan foothills of Nepal, parts of Indonesia (Java and Sumatra), and southern India. They are considered sacred in Shaiva Hinduism and yogic traditions and have been used as prayer beads for centuries.
"Mukhi" refers to the number of natural clefts or faces visible on the surface of a Rudraksha bead. A 5 Mukhi bead has five visible lines running from the top to the base of the bead. Different Mukhi varieties are traditionally associated with different deities and attributes in Hindu and yogic tradition.
Rudraksha beads are natural seeds and are generally considered safe for most people to wear or handle. If you have specific health concerns or allergies related to natural seeds, consult a healthcare professional. We do not make medical claims about our products.
The Mukhi count is determined by the number of natural cleft lines visible on the outer surface of the bead. For beads with 5 or fewer Mukhis, this is relatively easy to count visually. For higher Mukhi varieties, careful examination under good lighting is needed. If you have questions about a specific product, please contact us.

Care & Maintenance
Keep the mala away from soap, detergent, and excessive water. Occasional light oiling with coconut or mustard oil helps maintain the natural luster of the beads. Store in a clean cloth pouch when not in use. Handle silk-strung malas with care to preserve the thread. Avoid dropping the mala on hard surfaces.
Yes. Rudraksha are natural seeds and natural colour variation from light brown to dark chocolate brown is completely normal and expected. The shade of individual beads within the same mala may also vary slightly. This is a characteristic of natural material and does not indicate lower quality.
